Mares are the foundation of all breeding programs. Most programs focus on the stallion but the Bedouin prized mares over all other possessions. Tail-Female lines were the focus of all the old tribes breeding programs and in a way is a big focus here. Sahanad was a mare that was tail-female to *Wadduda. *Wadduda was a famous war mare of the Anazeh tribe gifted the the famous Homer Davenport. While Wadduda is not present in pure Davenport in tail-female she still lives on through the Sahanad get. These lines bring forward bravery, love for their owner, stamina, beauty and overall athletic ability. Most notably though are their dispositions. Such kind souls live in these horses and it is what we strive to preserve along with classic Desert type.
